We stared at the Corvette and Lamborghini posters on our bedroom walls and wished we had them.
We recklessly drove that classic red Ferrari convertible in Sega Out Run on TV, as well as our Hot Wheels and Matchbox cars on the living-room floor.
We admired the rumble and roar of every now-iconic American muscle car disturbing the peace in our childhood hometowns.

“This ’66 Electra was not only my parents’ first car, it also drove me home from the hospital when I was born back in ’91, and in 2011-’12, my dad gave it to me, but she was heavily damaged/rusted from all the salt and daily driving in the 90’s here in Denmark.
“So in ’13 I had to part her out for good. The nailhead and transmission thankfully works so that, all the chrome parts, hubcaps, etc., are worth keeping. I got her hood ornament in a little case as a reminder of not only remembering ‘the car’ that sparked my interest of American cars and cars in general, but also treasure the time me, my family and friends had around this special ’66 Electra.”
