XForce Varex adjustable valve muffler

LAS VEGAS, NV — We weren’t actively wondering how XForce’s ultra-cool Varex mufflers with remote-controlled adjustable valve technology could get any cooler, but that didn’t stop XForce from teaching us anyway.

XForce’s Adam Matthews took time at the 2016 SEMA Show to walk us through the updates to the company’s highly innovative Varex performance mufflers. Two words: Awe. Some.

XForce is the aftermarket’s first company to have patented a muffler design with a built-in butterfly valve.

varex-smart-box-controllerAt SEMA, XForce debuted its new Smart Box system, which can be installed on smartphones and tablets to connect your mobile device via Bluetooth to your Varex exhaust system.

There are several reasons this is cool.

Reason #1 – With the touch of your mobile device, you can “manually” (but remotely, like you’re at a Knight Rider party) adjust the valve opening on your muffler anywhere from 0%-100% in one-percent increments. NEAT.

Reason #2 – The Varex Smart Box system comes with an OBD-II sensor plug, enabling users to adjust and establish muffler valve positions based on real-time RPM, throttle percentage, and speed data.

Reason #3 – You can instantly eliminate exhaust drone with the touch of a button using digital wizardry from the Smart Box system’s Matrix mode.

Reason #4 – The system’s GEO mode, allows you to drop GPS location pins on your mobile device’s digital map to identify locations where you want to restrict your exhaust noise—perhaps near police stations, or in your neighborhood, or where you drop your kids off for school—and the Varex system will automatically adjust your exhaust levels whenever you’re near those noise-sensitive locations.

There are probably other reasons too.
