Last night, we went back to where it all started.

The very first Hot August Nights took place 30 years ago and was essentially a one-night concert with accompanying classic car cruise down Virginia Street. That cruise under the famous “Reno: The Biggest Little City in the World” arch was by far the most popular event of that evening and turned Hot August Nights into a “car event.”

Thirty years later, the downtown Reno cruise remains one of the most popular aspects of the show. Whether you’re into car watching, people watching, or both, the cruise is one of those can’t-miss happenings that we think you should experience. If you haven’t done so, watch our coverage in conjunction with Summit Racing below. If you’ve already taken part in the cruise, relive the fun!
