Jay Leno returned to late night television last night, making a guest appearance on The Tonight Show staring Jimmy Fallon. For car guys and gearheads, Leno’s real return to television takes place tonight when Jay Leno’s Garage debuts on CNBC at 10 pm ET.

The long-awaited show is based on Leno’s popular Jay Leno’s Garage video series.

The first episode will be dedicated to the American muscle car and will include a drag race with fellow car collector and comedian Tim Allen. Much of the show was filmed at Auto Club Dragway in Fontana, CA and features Frank Hawley teaching Leno how to drag race in a Super Comp dragster.
