Just in time for Christmas!

Starting today, you can buy one of up to 4,000 surplus Army Humvees being taken out of government service. Bidding starts at $10,000, but according to Jalopnik’s Truck Yeah site, there are a few catches. The Humvees come with no title and are declared for off-road use only. And you have to present the sellers with a note that declares your intended use for your retired Humvee, which has been completely “demilitarized.”

The good news is each of the Humvees in the first lot of 25 trucks up for bids today look good. And most have low miles, so as long as Uncle Same made his Lube Stop visits every 3,000 miles, the Humvees should be good to go.

You can check out some of the first 25 Humvees on the auction block here at Truck Yeah!
