Thanksgiving is a day many Americans sit down with family and count blessings.

But halfway around the world—in countries like Bahrain, Kuwait, and Ethiopia—American heroes are spending the holidays away from family. Many U.S. Military personnel celebrate Thanksgiving thousands of miles from home as they continue to selflessly serve our country. So Team Summit and Harley-Davidson Screamin’ Eagle/Vance & Hines drivers will continue to give thanks next week as part of the annual “Operation Appreciation” tour.

“I look forward to this trip. It isn’t very often that civilians are able to go behind the gates to say thank you to all of our troops who support us,” said NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle rider Eddie Krawiec. “They put their lives on the line, and this is just a small thank you for that. It makes me feel good to be able to thank them personally.”

This year’s tour will once again take the group—Greg Anderson, Jason Line, Dan Runte, Eddie Krawiec, and Andrew Hines—to countries across the Middle East as well as Africa. OnAllCylinders will provide ongoing coverage of the trip beginning Monday, with help from NHRA announcer Alan Reinhart.

Check back and help us give thanks!
