Harold Coker

Corky Coker is the current face of Coker Tire Company, but Harold Coker was the man who started it all.

Harold Coker, an avid antique and collector car enthusiast, founded Coker Tire in 1958. Harold Coker’s struggle to find the correct tires for vintage cars originally led him to the concept of producing and selling era-specific tires for classic cars. Today, Coker Tire is the largest supplier of collector car tires in the world, and Harold Coker’s success and dedication to the tire industry led him to be inducted into the Tire Industry Association’s Hall of Fame just a couple weeks ago.

Harold Coker passed away on Saturday at the age of 84–and the classic and collector communities lost a trail-blazer.

In addition to being an industry pioneer and business leader, Harold Coker was a political leader, serving on the County Commission in Hamilton County, TN. He was also a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

R.I.P., Mr. Coker.
