Chrysler introduced the 2015 Dodge Challenger Drag Pak at the NHRA U.S Nationals this past weekend.

Yes, it was the Chevrolet Performance U.S. Nationals, but Chrysler managed to create its own buzz with the prototype Drag Pak test car. The 2015 Challenger Drag Pak features a naturally aspirated, aluminum 426 HEMI engine, steel liners, and custom calibration. It’s mated to a 727 automatic transmission with stick shifter and integral line lock. Inside, the Drag Pak Challenger has lightweight racing seats, safety nets, harnesses, and a roll cage. The suspension consists of K-member and strut suspension up front and a four-link setup with Panhard bar, adjustable rear shocks, and anti-sway bar at the rear.

Again, this is just a test car, Mopar execs are still listening to feedback from racers before submitting the final Drag Pak package to NHRA for approval.

In case you missed it, Chrysler Corp. has released this video of the new Challenger Drag Pak prototype.
