With the longer days and warm weather, it’s time to pack up the hot rod and take a little road trip.

Whether you find yourself venturing a little farther from home, or you’re planning extended road trip in a classic vehicle (think Hot Rod Power Tour), Summit Racing has put together a few items you might consider taking along.

Watch Dave and Al below as they pack up the Summit Racing Factory Five MKIV roadster for a road trip.

Automotive Repair Items to Pack
A key in repairing your classic car, truck, or hot rod while out on the road is having a comfort level with your vehicle. OnAllCylinders, for example, has included parts like cylinder head gaskets. However, if you find yourself uncomfortable with making this type of repair on the road, it is best to leave these repairs to a shop professional.

Creature Comforts to Pack
Part of the fun of the road trip is the drive.

The comfort items you pack here are dependent on your destination. If you are headed for a nice weekend at a bed and breakfast, then the camping chairs may not be necessary. The Oreos shouldn’t be left behind for multiple reasons. They are milk’s favorite cookie, they don’t melt, and they are Al’s favorite, too.

You can customize your list of items to pack depending on your road trip ahead. If there is anything you feel we left off the list, feel free to let us know in the comments section below.
